It’s pretty weird to me. My best friend is amazing but there’s this little thing that bothers me. Every time I get something new she asks me where I got it from and buys either the exact same or something very similar. I wouldn’t mind if it were occasional, but she does it with EVERYTHING. I recently got into a new makeup brand, and now she’s buying the exact same one wearing the exact same look as me. She’s also bought my signature perfume that I wear every day and the same outfits. Not only that, but she’s gone into the same career path as me and wants to move houses to “down my street.” I recently started buying more ‘designer’ clothes, and now she’s going broke trying to buy the exact same stuff.
She always says we’re “the same person” and have “the exact same style” but if that were true then I would be inspired by her style also. Which I’m not. She doesn’t act like this with any of her other friends, so I don’t get why she has to copy everything. Is there any way I can tell her to stop while keeping the friendship?
