Why does my friend copy me?

I’ve been friends with this girl for a year. We get on really well, except I feel frustrated because she is copying everything I do, my hobbies, my interests, even my dating life.

She messaged me after I took up dance and asked me if she could join classes with me. I naturally said yes and since then we have been going to class together.
I took photos of myself dancing in a studio and she messaged me asking how I got my photos done and she wants me to take photos of her dancing now.

I put on social media that I was back into dating and she messaged me asking how I got dates and where I got them from and I told her I met them online so she joined the same dating site and then sent me pictures of the guys she was messaging.

We haven’t spoken in a while, but recently she messaged me asking me for information about my career and what I’m doing now. A few days ago, she told me that she’s applied for the exact same course I did, at the same university I went to.

is this strange? Why is she copying me?

Lack of personality, and since you seem to get along well with people, she copies what works. Even better so since you're a good friend of hers and she might see you as a model worth following.

It does seem strange and unhealthy like she is copying you life its going beyond admiration its like she has an identity disorder or it maybe be inocent just becarful just in case id ask profesional advice from a psychologist if i was you just for your own safety goodluck & be safe
