Why does he mirror my facial expressions, words, and actions?

If I have a confused look on my face, he'll make one too. Or if I raise my eyebrows, he'll raise his. If I say a phrase like "way cool!", he'll start saying that phrase whenever he talks. He copies my movements at times. He also begins to like some of the things that I like. He's my friend, but he currently has a girlfriend. Why does he keep trying to be like me?

Possibly because he is a total psychopath and doesn't know how to be a human.

or maybe he read online that he could get into your panties if he 'mirrors' you.

When someone tells us they like all the things we like and have similar opinions it makes us bond with them.

He might be ok, he might not.

You should become an expert on narcissist abuse, this should be required reading for all humans so it will not be wasted time.
