How can I get over the death of my father?

my father died of cancer six years ago. at age 56
i'm still very upset about his very early death.

i feel he will never be prod of me he only pops in my dreams once & while they say that only happends when the dead is thinking about you he must not think about me a lot.

i had a dream weeks ago where he was in a dream talking to a girl i was into 5 years ago i asked him to tell me what they dream meant he never told me yet.

My father did very suddenly and there were things left unsaid. It still bothers me many years later. I tried to honor him by being the best father to my kids that I could be. The three of them are all college graduates and are doing well. I would like to think he would be proud.

My grandma died in 99 and I’m still upset. 🤷‍♀️ I always that her not visiting me in my dreams meant she was happy and fulfilled whatever she needed to in life so has no need to be down here anymore. I dunno.
