Why does my “friend” keep stirring the pot between me and her boyfriend?

I don’t like my “friends” boyfriend that much as a person, but I’m always polite to him to keep the peace. However, this “friend” keeps trying to stir the pot between me and him to make us HATE eachother. When I was out of the room I heard her saying to him “[my name] thinks you’re a pathetic little b****” to him. I have never said that, ever. That’s not even how I speak. And then he came at me and had an argument with me because he thought I said that. What is wrong with her? Why does she try to cause rifts and stir the pot?

Because 1. She’s not your friend, and 2. She’s the one who’s pathetic. Pot stirrers are miserable so they want to start drama to make everyone else miserable, too.

Also perhaps she’s trying to make him dislike you because you’re a threat. It’s less likely but it could be. Good luck x

Tell him that you don't have a problem with him that his girlfriend is causing friction between the two of you for her own personal reasons that you are wondering yourself

She may want to break up the two of you so she can be with your boyfriend, or she may be jealous and wants to be able to spend more time with you.

She's not your friend.
She's jealous and/or feels threatened by you and will do anything she can to make sure he doesn't like you.
She's insecure and I'll bet extremely jealous anyone talking to him.
