Is it normal for a 25 years old to feel overwhelmed by living with family?

I don’t know if I’m the weird one but I’m not really enjoying my time living with my mom all the time. My sister and dad usually reside overseas as the former studies and the latter works there. She has been living with me for a year now and doesn’t work or have hobbies. Naturally I always feel like I’m under her surveillance. She will ask me several questions whenever I call people and ask why I leave when she walks in. If it is a friend I haven’t called in months she will interrogate why I want to talk to them now. She will ask what I eat when I’m out with my friends and try to see if I’m lying. It is just really annoying on my end having to listen to her all the time. I already asked her for space but she won’t respect it. I’m doing an internship and doing a masters however I can still feel her attention on me all the time. I have been getting a monthly salary for a few months now but it’s no where near to move out any time soon.

Living in someone else's house can give the feeling that someone is looking over their shoulder at you. I worship the ground that my mother walks on. Even so, as soon as I finished grad school I moved out of her house and never looked back. My younger sister did the same.

Your only option is to move out, but compared to myself at your age, getting your own place these days is impossibly expensive. Good luck.

No it's natural to want to move out from your parents, I left asap to get the peace I needed to build my own life. So I moved out as soon as it was time for my higher studies. If I hadn't done that I am quite sure I would have failed or at least suffered worse grades.

Be happy you have a safe place to say while you get your life in order. It could be much harder on your own.
