Ever had a dad that want to knock you out because he get angry over stuff you say and is that abusive by definition?

My dad did get angry at sometimes but not to that extent (no hitting)

He may have some anxiety, stress and depression issues or he drinks too much

In the past he got mad because I didn't know how to tie my shoe so he want to hit me

I remember he got angry because my mom question him did he wash his hands after he piss and it wasn't no water on he got so offensive
