I have a big butt and ever since I can remember my mom, my aunts and my older brother would slap my butt. It has always been “normal” to me because they are family and they have always done it without maliciousness. Anyway, today I had a soccer match and I score the winning goal of the game, so when the game was over my brother came over and gave me a hug to congratulate me. He hugged, grabbed and slapped my butt hard real quick and It hurt and I said to him “what f is wrong with you?” I was pissed and he was just laughing…nothing out of the ordinary to me. As I turned, I saw the guy I like looking at us and he just kept looking. And now, I wonder if he though that was weird…so guys, is it weird if my brother slaps my butt?
Are you really ~30 yo? I think it would be more acceptable if you two were younger, but it's kind of weird to be still doing this to your own sister at that age. But i think it's still a bit weird at any age. Even if it's just a playful thing. And doing it in front of others is really odd lol.
I know about the baseball ass slapping thing in the US, so i guess it is a thing lol, but i always found that weird, especially because it's just men doing that to men.
If i saw that, i would also think your brother is your boyfriend. And after i learn that he is your brother, i would think about what else you two could be doing with each other, if you do this publicly.
If you don't speak with that guy you like, he probably won't aproach you now lol. So it's on you now if you want to get to know him.
You should speak with your brother about this, if you are ok with him still doing this to you, at least tell him to not do it publicly in front of others.

I’m 32 😳and I had no idea about the “baseball ass slapping thing”, at least I wasn’t aware of it. And I’ve talked to my brother about it because it really pisses me off but he is such a clown that he does it with that purpose. Yeah we are old already but we have always been very close I guess is because we have no more family left, is just us.
Lmao. Its very similar situation in my family. And I am the butt slapping brother 🤣🤣. It will feel weird to people who have never thought or heard of such a thing. I can imagine my sister giving the exact same reaction if I do this in public.
Don't think too much. Whatever is done its done. Be sure to let your brother know directly or indirectly that some things are not appropriate after certain age. Within the family it can go on, its all fun with family. Not outside.

Lol I confess I sometimes do that too and it’s also not sexual. I try pissing him off but he just turns his butt away. But then he does it to me and he does pisses me off and he laughs about it, I guess what is off is the fact that we are actually old already and we continue to treat each other like damn kids. I wouldn't do that to my sister, that's all I know. I imagine your boyfriends probably would get annoyed by him doing that. My older sister's boyfriends even glared at us when she would hug me sometimes when they were leaving (They live far away) , lol.

You need to make him stop. If he thinks it is OK with you and never learn, he might think he can get away with it to other people. The other people might not be that forgiving and report it to the police. Your brother will the face criminal charges of sexual assault.
As such, you need to make him understand it is not okay.

That’s the thing, he is very respectful with other people. But he does this to me to piss me off and clown me. We are old but we we are like best friends and we still prank each other.

He actually thought my brother was my boyfriend because we are always laughing and we are together talking almost all the time, he was avoiding me because he thought that. Now he knows we are siblings but after this, I’m not sure what he could be thinking. 😕
Weird is relative. What is weird for me in my lived experience and culture could be totally normal for someone else. The only thing that really matters is how it makes you feel when he does it.
It has always been normal to me because he has done it since we were little and he only does it when he wants to piss me off or clown me around. We are old but we do prank and clown each other around sometimes. But the guy I like, he looked at us a bit in shock.
We work in the same place and it’s why we are always together. He has a family already, I get along with my sister in law and I love my niece. My brother though he likes to piss me off whenever he has a chance and he did that because he knows it pisses me off. Although we are old we are very close because we don’t have more family.
