I always thought children were born from "the love of a mother and a father"
but throughout time I have noticed that this saying is just as horseshit as Santa Clause. If children were really born from the LOVE of their parents then why do parents scorn their children for having the same flaws that themselves have?
like my parents for example. I remember as a kid whenever I never got shit my way and I used to result to punching walls and slamming things my mom would always scorn me and tell me that I'm a savage just like my father. likewise whenever I was with my father and he would give me a choir that I would failed at he would scorn me by telling me "you are as lazy and useless as you mother!"
so I always wondered, why do parents past the hatred they had for each other to their children? doesn't a parent want the best for their children? and even better if the parents hated each others flaws so much then why do they bother having children?
Why do parents scorn their children for having the same flaws that they hated and contemned among themselves?
Our parents have unhealed trauma from when they were children from parents that had their unhealed trauma from when they were children and they were raised with parents that had unhealed— you get the gist.
It’s gone from generation to generation of unhealed trauma, from one parent to and child and then so forth onto another. There’s no such thing as a perfect Mum or Dad, everyone is just winging it and trying their best and sometimes forgetting to try their best. Sometimes we don’t know how to deal with certain behaviours or actions and scold them before even having thought about it and because it was something perhaps that their parents told them off for doing when they were younger, they deemed it as the right thing to do. Everyone grows up knowing that they don’t want to end up being like the worst traits of their Mother or Father but if we focus on what we DO want instead of what we DON’T, then we leave room for abundance and prosperity.
Reflection is something that’s very important for self gratitude, personal development and healing for us as living beings…. and any trauma or horrible experience you’ve had with your parents or at any given time in your life…it’s important you feel what you need to feel about that and accept that whatever happened wasn’t something you deserved or was your fault…and that it’s something you just experienced and learned from, in order for you to heal and move on.
They do not mean to do that in a wrong way. They know their weakness and in their mind are trying to make sure you do not follow their way. They feel guilty because they know the "bad/odd" in you is from them, They are frustrated and feeling guilty. I think you are misinterpreting their guilt and frustration as an attack upon you. When they badger and belt it is because they care... otherwise they would let you run hog wild...
