Why is it that older sisters tend to be less attractive than their younger sisters?

I've noticed this a lot. Whenever I see two sisters or more, the first born daughter is always less attractive than the younger one (s).

This of course doesn't mean that the elder sister is ugly, but she isn't AS pretty as the younger sister.

In some rare cases, the older sister is prettier than the younger. But like I said, in rare cases. It's not common to see that.

I know this from experience as well. I am an older sister. I am the first born, and I have 6 younger siblings. They are all prettier than me, I've been told that too. They all look like models (I'm not over exaggerating. They literally have the features that a model is required to have in order to be a model.) and I am average/below average depending on who you ask.

Of course beauty is subjective. And sometimes an elder sister who is considered to the majority of people less attractive than her sister, can be seen as more beautiful than her sister. But to the average person she is considered less attractive.

I'm just curious why it is often that the elder sister is less attractive than the younger sister. (The younger sister has a more beautiful face than the older sister) And I'd like to hear you guys thoughts on why this is!

I am the oldest out of all my cousins and siblings. I am also one of the most attractive ones in the family. I'm 26. All my cousins are younger than me such as 19-24. If you are born an attractive girl, you will be attractive. If you are not born an attractive girl, you will not be attractive regardless of if you are 19 or 26. There are 35 yr old women out there who are prettier than 25 yr old women. It all has to do with what you're born with.

That's extremely interesting, for both my two elder sisters are far more beautiful and attractive than I am.

Because it´s of the perception that younger is always more beautiful. That´s why so many guys cheat on their wifes and spouses with younger women because they are viewed as more feminine, more beautiful or more precious.
But that´s something solely subjective to me.

I don't think its always the case.

Older siblings tend to have more responsibility, so they might be more stressed and less healthier and/or look older.

Genetics are randomized with siblings but in the end its about how you take care of yourself.

Reminds me of my ex's little sister. My ex was cheating on me but I always got on well with her younger sister. Anyway a few months after my ex dumped me for some other guy her pretty little sister that summer had been hit hard by the puberty stick and had grown very large pert breasts too big for her short tiny 5ft frame, mh ex was a very flat chested. She had always had a crush on me and I started dating her for a few years which drove me ex crazy.

I don't know; I've noticed this as well. Like, younger siblings are stronger and healthier in general. And even more successful athletically. (For example, Serena Williams.)

Maybe the mom learns better nutritional skills and techniques in subsequent pregnancies?

It's not really about "older", it's more about, the idea that as you do get "older" as you say, women start to not be able to reproduce as easily. So, That's why you see a lot of older men with younger women, because women know they're more likely to be able to have children, whether it's an older guy or younger.

Men do have their reproductive problems too but, it's more so for women

I know right, my sister is way more cuter than me. But again the personality of elder siblings is more responsible and leader type because they need to take care and basically be mother to their younger siblings.

first child is always the practice child everyone knows this. second child is hey we almost got this right but not quite third child is we finally got it right lets hope we didn't fuck this one up as bad as the other two
