One of my family members and I got into a fight and they called me dumb and said "I will never get no where in life" and advice?

So they were angry and the basically told me that I was dumb and I was useless and how I would never get no where in life. I knew she meant what she said cause it was said out of anger. Keep in mind this family member was considered that smart one. Was salutatorian in highschool, got high honors in college and she has a superior attitude. It hurts because as I replayed what she said , it tore more heart up even more and I can't stop crying. This really damaged me. Any advice?

Ahh don't think too much. She may have said all that in anger and even if she mean it, it doesn't matter what she thinks about you. Only you are responsible for whatever happens in your future, don't be discouraged by anyone else's statement. You'll do great :)

Are you upset because you believe it may be true? Don’t let it be true. Also if she’s out of college judging someone under 18 for not doing well in school, she may not have it all figured out herself! Don’t let her superiority complex get to you, be your own version of great.
