Hard to explain as one. It is what it is. You either know it and get it or you don't.

Its a sacred thing. They want their kids to be happily married so they'll make efforts to find a suitable spouse for them. The age thing varies household by household.

Personally speaking, I think when inshaallah my children become adults, they deserve more happiness and families of their own. So, if I see that day inshaAllah, I will try to guide, help, support them in their future. Also I would love to have grandkids.

Also; my dad died when I was a kid and I grew up as an orphan. And having no inheritance, it took longer for me to save some money and get married. With loans and stuff I did marry. And I don't want my kids go through same hardships. So, inshaAllah if I see that day; I will even try to arrange the marriages myself (unless they find their matches before I find for them).

But what if your kid is not interested in getting married or is not yet ready to get married will that be a disappointment for you?

I never think about what ifs that much. But from my experience, no one around me (relatives, friends etc) were unwilling to marry. Except a cousin of mine who was blinded (one eye completely and the other to some extent) in his childhood. He argued that he would make the girl he marries miserable so he is still single now in his late forties. I don't think my children would be unwilling either. If they want to delay it that is fine though, I would respect that but I don't think they would.
