I go why? Because I want some peace and quiet in the neighborhood. omg. It was 5:30 and he goes its 6pm. So I tell this asshole it's 5:30 not 6 I'll be out of here in 15 minutes. One of these days i'm going to tell one of these people who stop me from working for the dumbest reason, do I show up at your job and hinder you from making a living? This doesn't happen often, maybe a couple times a year, but I think these people get drunk after work and start mouthing off.

Not sure exactly what you are saying. Are you saying that you have a job working on peoples' houses and the neighbors complain about the noise at 5:30PM?

Just ignore him and keep on working. I worked in construction myself. In the summer when it was hot we'd start at 6:00AM, including on Saturday. I remember somebody actually calling the cops once - not on us, but on some roofers. The cops "asked" them if they could quiet down and the roofers said no. The cops walked away because they couldn't do anything about it.

What was REALLY stupid was when there were a couple of hundred houses being built, and the people who bought the first few complained about the noise. Did they really think the other 199 houses were going to magically appear?

You come in contact with all sorts of people being self employed it's kind interesting honestly. You start getting good at picking up a vibe from someone whether it's good or bad.

I was just trying to get out of their as fast as I could before he came out with a shotgun or something. It sucks when people get upset like this because you end up doing a half ass job to go faster.

You’re exactly right. You should price in another tank of gas and hour on original bill. T happens more than not if townhome or apartment from occupied property…especially hold people 🤷🏻‍♂️
