What makes people want to talk to some people and not others?

Some people are just naturally more magnetic than others, even though they don't say much. Why is that? As in acquaintances, colleagues, friends, and roommates. Do people just start talking to you even though you don't say much? or do you know people with this luck?

initially? it could be intrigue, curiosity, interest on first impressions...

during conversations? could be compatibility, affinity, further interest and intrigue, a feel familiarity even

simply put... a good experience makes people come back, bad experiences though... not so much... lol

Not really.

I've been in quite a few parties over the decades and, quite often, I'm left completely alone! Every so often, someone will come over and try to talk with me but they end up leaving shortly after.
