Should there be a law that narcissists be prohibited to have children?

Disclaimer: No parent is perfect, but the narcissist parent is as equally damaging as a cancer.

This world is suffering a lot from toxic and abusive parenting.

Overpopulation is another issue but at least narcissists should be banned to keep or adopt a kid.

• Since the age of 5 children are verbally, physically, emotionally and psychologically abused UNTIL they are sucked out of all the ambitions, passion, good intentions and purity they all had.
• They are shaped into obedient slaves. If they oppose, they're gaslighted, guilted, manipulated, threatened and even tortured until they GIVE IN.
• They suffer from constant anxiety, lifetime doubt on their own self worth, depression, self harm, anger issues, trust issues, validation seeking, low self respect and endless things.
• Their narcissist parents are extremely controlling to the point that they micromanage their kids life.

Kids are NOT allowed to be independent but end up in a life and career they hate.

Those who are raised with a normal parent MIGHT NOT understand the severity of narcissist abuse.

• Romantic partners of narcissists get their soul sucked, life ruined, self identity destroyed and they take a decent time to heal from PTSD, etc.
• So fucking imagine what will HAPPEN TO THE KID OF NARCISSIST who can't escape?

Narcissism combined with empathy is valuable, you need to love yourself and others a lot to have kids and be a good parent.

There isn't an overpopulation problem outside of china and india, most places have an underpopulation problem, especially japan and the united states.

I don't think the government should have any say in who can or can't have children, because governments usually represent the worst kinds of people a country has to offer, and that sort of power will be abused 100 times more often than it helps.

I do think vasectomies and tubal ligations/tubal coagulations should be covered under health insurance though for anyone who wants to get them, and that non surgical permanent birth control needs to be researched to find a safer alternative.

I also think schools should teach people that birth control and condoms fail often (because they do), so people stop relying on them so much, and take the time to make compatible choices when picking an SO.

I would even go as far as to say that the reason we have so many broken homes is because people don't love themselves ENOUGH, because low self esteem is a major reason people settle for people they don't really love, so you get divorce and child abuse/abandonment as a result.

The world needs a little more self absorption, a little more of "I'm worth it, I deserve to be truly happy", and if we get that, more kids will grow up with good parents.

Overpopulation isn't a problem anymore. Potential underpopulation is. Most developed countries are going well below maintenance levels. And no, such a law isn't realistic. I think all pro choice women and men shouldn't be able to have babies and should have mandated vasectomies/tubes tied.

Its hard to actually screen narcissists because they can put on a pretty good show. But the one thing most narcissists have in common is the lack of self accountability. They dont apologize and they view their beliefs, trauma, and opinions as superior to others.

I do agree that there is no room for self entitled god complexes when raising children or in relationships, but itd be a difficult thing to regulate.

They do feel their traumas are superior. If you lost your child to death, the narc will say yeah I saw my neighbor's child getting sick, it was equally traumatizing.
