Who are you closer your mom or dad and why and mom's and dad's are you closer with your son's or daughters and why?

I'm closer to my mom. My dad worked in another country for several years during my childhood, and he also wasn't really interested in my brother or I for a long time. He was a great provider, but not an amazing dad. We also just don't really have anything in common, though he tries a lot more now that I'm grown.

I'm not super close to my mom either, but we do still talk at least once a week.

I'm closer to my mom and in my house I guess I would have to say I'm just as close to all three of them. Big difference is Lexi is 18 and getting ready for college and the boys are 8 & 3 so big age differences.
