Whenever guys hit on me my friends get annoyed and tell me they probably just casually say that to everyone. Do I need new friends who encourage me?

Just stop telling such instances to your friends. They definitely get jealous because of the attention you get from the opposite gender.

If they are helpful in other things, then you just need to stop telling them things that annoy them. But if they are not helpful in the majority of things, then it is just better for you to leave them and get new friends.

Yeah like one day this guy at the gym told me I’m gorgeous and my friend was like “wow just casually calling women gorgeous” like maybe he was just playing around but there’s also possibility he really meant that. I’m sick of negativity.

When guys come forward and say to your face that you are gorgeous, not hot, or sexy; you really are gorgeous. And your friends or any other woman who says what your friend said, is definitely jealous of you.
Nowadays, it is really difficult to compliment girls, as some girls just make a big negative deal out of it and post it on the internet. Despite this, if guys just behave like above, then you really are beautiful.

Being shy and reserved does not repel people. That is just considered a part of your personality. Actively repelling people is noticeable.

The more I read about your friend, the more I am able to relate her to my friend. He was just crazy. I tested him on instances to see if he was dependable in advice and other things. He definitely was not. I stopped being friends with him.

Honestly most women aren’t empowering each other. I only have a few women I trust but they’re much older and married. I think it’s our generation because so many women are deeply insecure and project it to others. It’s getting worse. I just want a boyfriend at this point and that’s it. Lol

You can be friends with such women to know how women behave in different situations so that you can shield yourself from such other women. I really do believe that our generation is very insecure about themselves.
Even the guys are a bit afraid to approach/about girls. Just because they see other women demanding unrealistic things on TikTok/YT etc. And many are just afraid to approach girls because of their attitude problems. I don't know much about it though. I always met amazing girls.

You will definitely get a boyfriend. I am sure of it. Just don't be with your friends when you are meeting your boyfriends. They will surely repel your boyfriend away from you.
