What is the ideal type of family? Which structure dominates in your culture/country?

I was watching this video which is fairly long

This will probably be my last family related question for this week lol. which is the best form of family? Which do you prefer?

Absolute nuclear family (parents & children)

Authoritarian family (the oldest child is favored and the rest of the kids fend for themselves)

Extended family/communitarian (parents and children live with or near extended relatives)

Anomic families (guided by a lack of rules and desire, family form and break according to the individuals)

i think the extended family one is ideal for me. my grandparents came to help my parents when i was born for a few months and i grew up surrounded by cousins and aunts/uncles which was great, it's what i'm used to and no matter how much i can complain about how annoying family can be it's amazing to have them

if/when i raise my own family, i would want to have our families around but every person likes their own family structure and sometimes unfortunate circumstances mean you can't have the structure you were hoping for so you have to do the best you could do

as for how it usually goes in my region... (South of Texas and Northern Mexico) there is a very strong sense of family and community, and families/relatives tend to stick together and nearby, at least in the same region

then, moreso in Mexico, it is also common to live very nearby, or even with relatives (older parents is very usual) and it is also common to see the children to remain in their household for as long as it takes them to marry and start a family of their own, not everyone does that but many do exactly that

and the most influencing factor for that is the nature of the economy in Mexico. the acquisitive power down there can be 1/10 of what it is in the USA

For the United States, I believe (but can't quote any data for this) that it is mostly nuclear families and a healthy dose of anomic.

Ideal? NOT authoritarian. Anything else can make an ideal family. I would say that an ideal family is one where the families objectives align. Where there's love for each other. Where the children are not in charge but also aren't serfs. Where parents/elders are dedicated to raising the next generation. Where there's caring. Anything else is gravy. So within those parameters, any construct (again, except authoritarian) can produce a wonderful family.

There is only one possibility having a wife 43 years younger. Since my relatives aren't here anymore and since I'm too impotent to make children, it'll be just the two of us anyway.
