Ever wanted to apologize to someone but couldn't?

We're all human, we all make mistakes. I've made a lot and unfortunately there are plenty of people that I'll either not be able to make amends to as they won't talk time any more and others that have irreconcilable differences with.

I actually made this account hoping to talk to one specific person and apologize to them, but I'm already blocked, lol. They found me pretty quickly, lol. That makes two users at least that blocked me. Oh well, that's life.

I'm sorry about your situation, but if there's a thing I've learned from this site is that people block for very vain reasons - even just following someone they don't like can get you blacklisted.

That said, in some cases I found it very difficult to apologize because of my pride - I don't like admitting that I'm wrong, I don't like to show my weaknesses and mistakes to another person.

It's kind of ironic that for me apologizing without meaning it is easier because I don't mean it and I still see myself in a position of superiority; while if I feel truly regretful it's very difficult because I have to submit myself to the other person.

Yep, last ex left town and blocked me without the chance to apologize or clear things up (pretty sure she thinks things happened very differently than they did)

Yes this has happened to me twice before.


The first time was with an ex. I felt very bad for the way things ended and it was completely my fault. I broke his heart and he was such a good man. I apologised to him a couple of years later because the guilt was consuming me. He accepted my apology and agreed to become friends, but then blocked me out of nowhere and started acting petty.


The second time was with an ex best friend. She also accepted my apology and acted like we were friends but started acting very petty in a sly way. Mind you, we had an argument and we were both in the wrong so it wasn’t like the guilt was consuming me I just missed her.

Yes, I'll generally apologize however I can, but the moment I click that send button, it is up to them to accept it or not. I can't make them read it and I've already tried. If they don't want anything to do with me, I've no choice but to respect their decision.
