Do/did you have godparents? and how involved were they in your life if so?

By 'involved' i mean you regularly visited them or they visited you. they were a presence in your life.

Yes i had godparents and they were involved in my life

I had godparents and one was involved in my life, the other not so much

Yes. My godfather is one of my uncles, so he's always been involved, even more so now. We have a really good relationship.
My godmother died a couple years ago. We weren't close, but she would always buy me stuff for my birthday/Christmas when I was a kid. She went through a really hard time at one point and just didn't really keep in touch much for many years, but after she found out about that she had cancer and how aggressive it was, she made an effort to keep in touch and to try to hang out with me before she passed.

Never had god parents but I am a god parent even though I'm not religious. Basically just a way of saying that if anything happens to my friend I take care of his kid. He is slightly religious so that's why he went with that title... It also just feels cool I don't know 😂

I had godparents. One of my godfather was a multimillionaire. He offered me help to find the best jobs a few times but I never accepted, I didn’t like disturbing my wealthy godfather to have my things done. I liked doing things my way.

One day shortly before his death he told my dad that he was proud I was his goddaughter and the way I worked hard and ambitiously he said maybe there would be a day when I’d be the one helping him as I’d become much more successful than even him, he thought.

I hope his words will come true someday.

I do have godparents, and I was brought up to refer to their kids as my cousins. It’s my mother’s childhood best friend and her husband. They have five kids, but we still managed to all go to Disneyworld together, my family and theirs, when I was five. We visited fairly often, considering the drive. My own mother is the godmother of one or two of theirs.

Never had Godparents but if I was to choose who I wanted it would be my Maternal Grandparents my Grandparents were so loving and most times I spent a lot of time over their house, and we would have snacks and drink tea with Grandma and will would watch different programs over their house.

Yes my mom's best friend was my godmother. She watched me be born and was the first person to hold me since my dad wasn't there at the time. She passed a few years back but was very special and involved in my life

Yeah, my parents didn't pick locally so one is my uncle who lived 100 miles away and the other is my great uncle who lives a different 100 miles away

That said muly brother got local ones and one never bothered

I had a godmother. I haven’t seen her in YEARS, though. So, if we met, it’d be like meeting her for the first time. I haven’t seen her since I was a toddler.

Yes I had God parents. They were my aunt and uncle on my dad's side. We were really close with them. I'd see them several times a year.
