I move to Canada 10 years ago. But I feel I should move back to Korea. I didn’t like Korea because of monsoon season eating out chunk of summer fun season and people don’t have freedom what so ever but I am willing to take a risk.. I just have to act like everyone does which I hated because there seem to be no individual and freedom. But I kind of thinking maybe it will be easier acting like everyone else. Especially I need my family love. I don’t know. Canada or America is good when you are young. My friend told me that. I think he has a point. He goes back to Columbia which his family is from and try to find a boy friend there. And a woman I know moved to Ireland. I think she is descendant from it. A lot of people go back to their original country. What about you? Are you planing to leave US or Canada?
Well, I was born in the US of A, so I have nowhere to go to.
I was born in New York City, and, other than visiting perhaps in a week or so, I don't see myself returning to New York unless it is for my mother and/or step-father's funeral (s). I live in Missouri now about 1100 miles from where I grew up, but my life is here (and much cheaper); New York is way too expensive and I don't want my native accent to come back.

eventually everyone should move back to where they came from. you should feel pride of where you come from. i know people from my state don't stay very long before they move back years later because it's not what they thought it was. and that's okay too. IF you want to.
as for me, i was born and raised and live in the same state i was born and grew up in and still here. ain't leaving, as much as these transplants with way more money try to kick me out.
No. My English and Dutch ancestors have been in this country forever and while I wouldn’t mind visiting Italy, Ireland and Poland (especially Italy), I have no desire to live there permanently. Why do you want to move back to Korea?
I would recommend visiting first for a month or two. You might be surprised how much you've changed since you left. the last thing you want to do is return, only to find out you're no longer the person who used to live there. (It's important to go for a fairly long time so that the initial 'visiting' glow goes away and you can really start to feel the feel of day-to-day experience.)

I'm an expat and I recently visited my roots only to realize I would never move back. Yes I miss my mates I grew up with and our way of living but not the atmosphere. It was densely packed with so many different cultures that the countries residence is suffering to understand each other. Homes are stacked upon each other that there is no space to be free or feel like you have any sort of privacy. I love seeing the stars, I like not hearing sirens every 5 minutes, I like knowing I'm safe being able to walk around the area I live in without being preyed upon. Time and the economy will change this but for now, I feel good where I'm at as one day in the future, land will be non existent.
I would love to return to my roots in Europe, unfortunately because there's a global genocidal agenda against white people going on, many European countries are being coerced into "diversifying" despite being the native homeland for white people for tens of thousands of years.
Imagine asking any other race to "diversify" their homelands.
Think it would depend how much cabbage I had and what my original home country was , I will say this many famous Australians living in the US and Sports people , would always say " I'm coming back , I will come back " guess what? They never come back far more opportunity in the USA.
Not likely, since I don't have any family back in Europe. All my family is in America, so I would be by myself. I imagine the first half a decade would probably be a lonely experience compared to the U. S.
Also, certain countries like France have a lot of people that discriminate Americans. For example, the real estate there is already bad, but for Americans it's way worse even if they're a citizen.I would not go back to my ancestral country of Sweden simply because I don’t want to drag the American garbage back to Sweden.
We have our problems and we shouldn’t be forcing it onto other nations so I personally think the Americans in the Canadians should just stay where they are and don’t go anywhere. This is coming from an American by the way. It would be really sad if we migrated over to other nations and just ruined them like we did with our own countries.I love America and have no reason to move somewhere just because my ancestors were there. I like to live in the present, not the past.
I lived in Korea for 2 years and although I loved it, it made me love the U. S even more.
You are talking about North Korea right? I have never been to South Korea but I have been to more conservative regions of Asia than that and people are free there. Relations can be a bit overbearing in those countries, but people still seem to be liberated.
No, I am of Italian decent and am proud of my grandparents for taking a chance on a better life. If I went back to Italy it sort of defeats the purpose
I will most likely continue to live in america permanently not because I choose to but because I will not be able to afford anywhere else
Why the fuck would anyone want to move to a shithole like America?
I don’t know where my ancestors are from, so I can’t.
My Filipino neighbors just moved back to the Philippines to raise their young family. It seems to be a trend
No. If I leave the USA, it will be for Portugal. Great climate and comparatively super low cost.
Who are these people? I've never heard of this. You can't just declare something as fact without any citations.
I think i will stay where i would be making my living easily
No, my mom's side of the family had been in Southern California since the late 1700's or early 1800's. I'm not going anywhere.
A lot of English retire in the Irish countryside and on the coast.
I will move back to my ancestral home... which is still America. There WERE people here before all you knuckleheads came across the pond and decided to move in
I don't know a single American that moved back to where their ancestors are from out of the country.
I’m not doubting that there are people who move back to their countries of ethnic origin, however I’d be curious what the actual number is?
