How do you pass the time waiting for birth?

My wife broke the waters, started to go into labor and having contractions so we rushed to the hospital, but now the contractions stopped and we have to wait.

There are no issues with the babies, we just have to wait it out. As of now she just gets up and walks around, she wants something to eat and the nurse said she can have some small snacks but no big meals

If there's no progress by tomorrow they'll send us back home, I hope this will not be the case but for now we just have to wait.

Yeah, labor isn't like what you see in the movies where the water breaks and two seconds later, there is a miracle baby. Labor can absolutely take days and there is nothing you can do without medical intervention from the doctors/nurses to speed it up. As someone else said, go to sleep because you won't see that for a long LONG time and whatever you do, don't complain---your wife will not appreciate that.

Congrats on the baby! I have never given birth although I probblaby will one day. I dont know how women do it tbh I just think they do it because its gonna happen.
