On a scale of 10, how weird is it to send a snap request to one of your classmate with whom you have barely talked?

So I know this guy who was in my class in 10th grade, but we never talked. Right now we both are in college 2nd year and are in different cities. so will it be weird if i send him or anyone for that matter a snap request or am I over thinking and over analysing everything?

Go for it snap chat is just random friend requests any ways so try it worst he can do is say no!

Your not over thinking to much but sometimes you need to leap not just crawl and hop!
