What do you think about people who use their personal experience to judge others?

I hate it when people use their personal experience to make judgements about others. I met a guy who thinks because he didn't meet any girls who like older men when he was a teen he thinks such girls are in the minority. I told him he's wrong because I experienced the opposite and he got mad.

Some people don't seem to realize the limited scope of their own experience. For example, maybe a guy has dated 2 blonde girls ever, and they were both self-entitled bitches. So he concludes that all blonde girls are self-entitled bitches. It's just like if you try a burrito for the first time, and it's really bad, you conclude that you don't like burritos and never have one again. Or you go to Miami, it rains all week and you get robbed, so Miami must suck.

It is particularly evident when your experiences are very limited. Because we have limited time and resources (we can't really date every blonde unless we live in a very small town) we shortcut by projecting what experiences we have had. It is natural to do so; if a caveman lines his bed with poison ivy and has a reaction to it, he is unlikely to do so again.

So people like the guy you mention will not only be convinced he is right, but will argue vehemently in defending their position.

Well I. think. it sounds about right.. n is a relevant element as a stand alone factor in judging some one amongst many others one could factor in or exclude...
Every one does this.. but rarely is it the sole reasoning behind how we come to. a particular conclusion.

Though I feel strongly about the things I feel strongly about.. I challenge.. the possibility that it may not be of their own sentamates.. meaning they only think that way cause of conditionality.. they aren't thinking for them selves their comfort zone couldn't handle or risk being destableised

It's more a problem if one feels compelled to comply.. and or adopt. accept.. contrary ideals for fear of loosing value or status amongst peers cause we invested our time in the wrong persons or people n it's better to be low in a social hierarchy than alone in exile... especially if your poor n low status in the first place...

I'm am one of thoughs of poverty n low status.. but I decided to recognize how fake insincere self obsessed every one around me was.. I stopped identifying with people as friends. Core values principles solidarity sacrifice loyalty.. are ideologies that betray us and embitter us... cause it falls shot of our expectations... n is likely caused by our owns selves... its best as I see it let others decide if your there friend or not n it better to know we're you stand in factuality... amongst your peers. ... ones who hurt you the least but apogise accordingly. VS who hurt u more n it's cool cause for what ever reason is not there fault... be careful
