and you can't be left out. Is it fine if they do it or social media gets the worse out of us?

Challenges, trends, among many other stuff one does it and the rest will follow.
Honestly, even if you have social media you dont play along and do what the rest does it or you do follow it.
In my particular case I do have a FB and IG account but I dont follow challenges or trends or any of that stuff I just watch others who do follow and they copy what everyone does.
One example, Today is Mother`s Day in my country so, people I know or my contacts on FB or on IG, most of them post photos or videos about their respective mothers with a inspiring messages about the mother, I mean out of like 60 contacts I have, maybe 90% are doing that (including my sister): posting photos or videos of them with their mom at Mothers day celebrations or gatherings with the family with inspiring and heartful messages towards the mother. The ame thing happens when it Fathers Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, etc.
My sister likes to do that but I dont post photos or follow trends and our brother does not even have social media personal accounts, he is not much into it, he only uses Tik Tok to watch funny videos and stuff, but he does not have FB or IG account or any other app of that same type. For example todays is Mothers day in y city andI saw my sister posting a photo she found of her, myself and mom taken some years ago and post it on social media to wish everyone Happy Mothers day and in that photo I look terrible.
Whatever happen to only share those videos or photos with your family and friends but over private or personal ways to do it but not over social media, like text messaging, etc.
Even famous people do that anyway.
What do you think of people who are like that on social media?
