Has anyone cut off toxic and fake family members? What did you do?

Has anyone encountered this? What did you do? I moved 4 months ago due to how toxic my family was and got in hardship for a few months... I'll be moving next month and realizing how fake and toxic people are including family and I cut off most of my friends

Next is family.. it seems I'm here to take care of some unfinished business before we move again next month

I had to change my number 3 times and get away from a former friend of 15 years who was toxic.. it seems the fake it being exposed... furthering confirming why I'm done with these folks and no I'm not looking to reconnect with any of them or rekindle

Yes a bunch sadly to say , family and friends and Girls’ that backstabbed me and betrayed me through the years , I just exempt them from my life and move on , and act like they no longer exist to me You don’t have to explain yourself to any one, if they are toxic to you , they should no longer matter to you period. Family and friends and girlfriends that I thought loved me and cared about me , turned out to be fucking assholes , the older I get the more I realize most people are assholes. So I only surround myself with people that actually have a heart that treat me with love and respect all the others don’t matter to me and don’t exist to me. One of my favorite John Mayer songs is Say what you need to say , if someone is trying to bring misery into my life and wreck havoc in my life , I tell them straight out , how I feel , whether it hurts them or not , I just speak the truth and I am honest with them , if they can’t handle the truth , that is their problem , I said what I needed to say and I walk away

What did I do? I cut them off. I stopped communicating with them. That's what it means. I don't understand the question.

Not cut off but I've distanced myself from my father because we clash sometimes. Cutting off someone seems a bit harsh to me.

Well their too damn toxic and anything that hurts my health has to go - some family members need to be cut off

That's good for your own well being I've done that. I was told I should of explained why I was doing that but I never did.

Sometimes when things get that bad it is best to cut off your family and friends that are toxic and negative.

I live alone and i live in another country by myself and i'm not talking to them. I don't know if they know, that my home address was changed drastically. Nobody's there.
