Ha! That's almost every person I ever met. I call it Stacey syndrome because I used to have this friend named Stacey who would use her looks to get favors from people, and she tried it on me, but I said bye bye to her and never spoke to her ever again.
In a way, I'm happy that writing is a lonely people thing because I only have to deal with people in my books!
Something I learned a long time ago... Once you do something nice for someone you know, they expect it all the time... Most people anyway.
I've heard those kinds of plays usually do well because people can relate to dysfunctionional families.
I've never tried screenplay writing, but someday I would like to write a play. I love novel writing but I can imagine screenplay writing is similar.
Absolutely. Most people that you'll come across now days are like this. Remember the old saying " what have you done for me lately?" These people are toxic but hide behind things like " i thought friends could ask eachother for help" or " are you really going to let something as stupid as money come between out friendship?" (All the while they owe you several hundred dollars.) Its not that friends shouldn't be able to ask for help from eachother but if its a one way street or they only seem to be able to talk to you when they need something then there's a good chance you really dont need those people in your life. Think about they drama they add to your life and then choose peace.
This is my take at least. how i feel about my experiences. Words i wish i could tell 8year old me.
I generally call those people takers.
I usually cut them out of my life. I'm not a pawn, a piggy bank, or a slave. I owe no one anything. If I'm only useful to you if I can provide something materially, you are not worth interacting with.
I have people WHO I sometimes ask a favour of, but I don't treat them as people WHO I just see when I want something from them. I would feel awfully ashamed to do so.
nope...
my clients are usually like "I want it YESTERDAY!!!"
last week... preferably
My employer has an element of that in him, but I am aware of that and call him out frequently.
Free beer tomorrow!
I always find if I don't do something straight away, it never gets done.
I don't have anyone in my life... oh, add a qualifier, it makes it sound better.
Nope. People like that hate me. And I like that they hate me.
Sure… I just keep them at a far distance. So no… they are not in my life.
Well, at least none of those I care about are like this.
I think everyone has at least one of them kind of people. I do and I ignore her.
It is I call them energy zappers 😆
I use to but I cut then off. If you have someone in your life that only want you to give them and never give anything in return then you need to move on from that. Trust me when I tell you it's not worth your time
Thanks 😉
Used to. Best way to avoid them is be a what can I do for myself that benefits others tomorrow person.
I have plenty of family members that are like this and I chose to walk on by them, can't be here when I need you don't be here when it is only convenient for you
Yeah, except he's more of a WCYDFMY, T&T type of guy.
Not sure if this where going,
But my mom lives in the past. Everything she talks about is in the past. Me? 180 degrees. I’m here and now.
I used to. They only called or came over when they wanted something. They are no longer friends
Not really, that seems impatient and narcissistic
I guess they have high expectations
Yep my sister was like that.
Far too many to mention
I have a lot of those in my life
One or two...
Yep.
No. ..
Unfortunately
Not really.
No. Not me.
