Why do people feel entitled to call you at 3:30 in the morning when you have to work?

Unless it’s a EMERGENCY you shouldn’t be calling or texting someone late at night or early in the morning. Some people I swear have been raised with zero manners and feel entitled. Having the audacity to get mad at me when I finally have to block someone for calling me at 10, 11, 12, 1, etc. In the wee hours of the morning.

I have a life… I’m sorry I can’t sit there and text someone every minute of every day. I’ve had numerous people who just must not have a life whatsoever. Texting CONSTANTLY!!! I don’t mind texting someone even having conversations. But have boundaries. I’m sorry some people think I’m the only person I have in my life. Even when I tell someone I’m busy or ask them very nice to cut back on their texts.

Clearly, the problem is that you DON'T have boundaries- if you did, this wouldn't be a problem. You'd turn your phone off, or put it down and just not answer it. Text messages don't NEED an immediate reply; they don't vanish into the ether like speech does.

I can’t just shut my phone off. I have blocked people and I tell people directly not to do it unless it’s a emergency. Sometimes people NEED to get ahold of you at odd hours if there is a emergency or urgent situation come up

its not other peoples responsibility to know what your schedule is, or integrate it if they know
there's nothing wrong with calling or texting
if you dont like it tell them
or set up quiet time

It depends on what you do and where you live. Where I live, it is mandatory to have an 11-hour break in between shifts. So yes I will answer it as long as I get paid and have had my rest
