Girls, Do women have any sympathy for men who were abused as children?

My grandparents beat me a lot and starved me for two weeks once. I'm disowned by them because my actual grandfather was in the military and my grandmothers father didn't like it. He died in the Vietnam war saving his radio man from a sniper. My grandmother was forced to remarry. My father is disowned and so are my sister and I. So I got abused a lot by father's side. One of his cousins molested me when I was 10. I have brain damage and PTSD from them beating me with baseball bats and chairs. They strangled me almost to death. My father was an asshole too.

I have sympathy for anyone who was abused as a child.

Boy or girl, all children are deserving of pure and genuine love and care. Abuse is just as harmful to a boy as it is to a girl.

I'm very sorry you went through that.

You did ask, if "women"... have any sympathy... not "people"... and I'm not sure why you asked about women specifically.

But I do hope that you show yourself love, and also get therapy. It's super helpful and necessary after going through traumatic childhood experiences...

I asked that because a lot dating advice for me. Advises you be to never talk about it because women will see you as weak. And they say that women despise weakness. It makes you undesirable.

I understand what you mean. I don't think it makes you undesirable, unless it is still affecting your life in a huge way. For example, some people who were severely abused as a kid become abusive adults. That's if they don't take the time to get therapy and heal.

yeah i had similar stuff happen to me and i'm not the only one who has, so a lot will get it. it's just a people thing like you have good and bad people

BUT i would be careful just opening up period for you AND them bc some people aren't like ready for that. they might react or be affected badly. its kinda why besides like basic communication i just leave opening up to a professional (my therapist)

only if those people take responsibility for themselves... for their therapy, health, and general well-being...

if they don't, they become abusive and hurt others... and that is not something I want to experience...
