I have a friend. She’s cool person and we clicked almost instantly as friends and I was there to help her through a rough spot in her marriage. What I have noticed lately that she leans in to our hugs or it lingers for longer than it used too. She said she’s starting to feel comfortable with me and be herself. She can’t walk pass me without touching me or wanting a hug from me. She became extremely nosey when I talk to other female friends. If I don’t show affection she thinks I’m mad at her and it som what she ruins her day because she overthinks things.
I asked her does her husband give her affection and she said yes. He’s very affectionate. Why does she crave my affection too? Isn’t that too much affection?

What Girls Said
Craving affection is a fundamental human need. We are wired for connection and touch, and it's completely normal to desire feeling loved, appreciated, and physically close to others. Obviously, your relationship with your spouse is lacking and by the sounds of it, it is all on YOU.
It’s not my spouse but friend who is married. She desires it from me. I asked if her husband was affectionate. She told me yes but the way she gets upset at me if I don’t hug or touch her is wild. She gets to thinking she made me mad. I don’t feel good. Does that mean she’s lacking affection in her marriage? She’s been married I think 8 years now.
