These days? No absolutely not. Times are fucking tough right now the fact he's a single dad taking on the world for his kids says a lot about his character in my opinion. If you're an adult man with 2 dependents and no help in this economy, then yea I won't fault you for needing to bunk with your parents for it to be affordable. In fact, I think it also shows a lot of humility because it could be a case where he had to swallow his pride and admit he needs help and being able to swallow your pride when you need to is both hard and important to be able to do sometimes and most people can't. So, in short no it's not a red flag it could even be as simple as he needs his parents to watch his kids for him because he's working full time or something.
