Why do parents ALWAYS win every argument?

Parents cut kids off when kids get to speak and it’s fucking rude. My mom said no make up until I was 16-17 years old and I had an argument and she had the last world. She cut me off saying, “I am NOT your friends mother! I don’t care what her mother does. You’re my daughter and I say what goes. Me, “but,” mom cuts me off and says, “NO ARGUMENTS! DO I MAKE MY SELF CLEAR?”
Shut down and said, “Yes ma’am.”

She said, “Thank you. Mom 1, child 0.”

I was 13.

Same with my dad when I wasn’t allowed to date guys until I was 17 and he won the argument too. Parents why the hell do you cut you kids off, or how are you so quick with your comments? Why do you always mean? You’re kind people butt such assholes.

I love them still but they always feel the needs to tell me how to do things. My dad said, “I hate to tell you this but parenting doesn’t end. Even though you’re an adult, I’M still the dad and Mom is still the mom and we’re always bigger than you. I don’t give a damn if you’re 28, 30, 45 or even 50 or 60, we will always be bigger than you. So there. He shut me up afterwards.
