No I don't think so.. but it depends on how old the kid is and how the parents are. Like when my parents were fighting while drunk we knew to stay the hell away and upstairs because my dad was a scary drunk and sometimes he would beat my mom up and she would scream for us to call the cops so my sister would run down to get the phone. But sober if they were just arguing I would sometimes make jokes about them to ease the tension and make them laugh.. I wasn't one to want to get involved with their bullshit because my mom was always a bitch if we said anything lol.

I think that yes it's better to intervene before it get too ugly, as a child I always intervened and put myself between themeless when my mother started to hit my father. No ways I was going to let her to do this. My father was sick so she profited of this to hit me (she also hit me and my sister) and I was not going to let her do it, that's a digusting things to do.

The thing is that children growing up here their parents arguing from an early age and sometimes think that this is just normal behavior when in a relationship. They also look for that is their own relationship thinking that if it is not happening in theirs then something is wrong.
To answer your question though, I think if the child or children recognize that it is wrong then they should intervene. Arguing is not bad if it leads to an appropriate outcome. It is when the arguing goes farther than it should and the outcomes then have serious consequences.

No, though they have an instinct to create a new problem to distract the parents from the fight.

Depends on the parents. All the kid should say is thank you for teaching me what to do When I get in a relationship and something's wrong? This is how you settle it.

By yelling screaming acting like fools. Thank you for teaching me this. I think I'll try to get a boyfriend and start practicing

It’s not like they can’t and being aware of an audience can sometimes get them to stop, though not necessarily stop them from fighting again. But depending on the parents, it can also get them to turn that anger on the child.

No. Not unless someone might get hurt and it's a call the cops situation. Otherwise no.

I tried once, I was 12, my dad was a big guy my mom , tiny , he'd beat her several times, I knew it was going to happen that day and I tried to protect my mom, damn near got killed but that was the beginning of the end for them.

I think they should IF it's causing them distress. That way the "adults" may get a wake up call and realise their children are hurting over the chaos that is being spread around them.

Nope. And the parents should be mature enough to shut up in front of the kids anyway

There are times when they need to. I remember when my parents would fight, especially on school nights. We would have to intervene because if we didn't, we'd never get any sleep.

Who are the adults in the room huh? It is disturbing to even the cats and dogs.

Parents should be the adults they need to be.

Depends on how old they are, and what the circumstances surrounding the argument are, but generally no.
