Should I hold a grudge against my mother over an incident that happened five years ago?

Five years ago, when I was 14, I had a skin infection on my thigh and chest area and my mother took me to the doctor.

The doctor asked my mother if her 12-year-old daughter could stay in the room while I was being examined and my mother consented and they let the doctor's 12-year-old daughter stay in the room and be present while I was being examined completely naked. I'm male. Should I hold a grudge against my mother for this?

okay, I think it is the doctor that was at fault. He put your mother in that position. That being said, 5 years a a long time to hold a grudge. Let it go. You will be happier in the long term

If this had been a male doctor asking a 14-year-old girl's mother if the doctor's 12-year-old son could stay in the room while the girl is being examined naked, the police and child protective services would have gotten involved.
