I work at mcdonald's. My last day is tommarow. I usually work at second window and just hand orders out. You're supposed to add sauces with your meal when you order, but so many people ask for sauces when they get to the second window. Im supposed to charge them but I dont because it would fuck our times up and I'd get yelled at. So last night some guy pulls up to the window. He asks for BBQ sauce. So I run across the kitchen and grab some. When I hand it to him, he's like "and ranch". There wasn't any in the kitchen so I had to run to the back of the building and grab some. This was just infuriating and I was kind of short with him after that.

Yes and no. Because if you did have anger issues, they're the same issues every person has.
When i was young, it would've never even occured to me to ask for ranch or barbecue sauce. Because going to mcdonald's was a treat, and i would've just been happy to have mcnuggets.🤣 But i'm an adult now. And some adults expect every bell and whistle coming to them. And i'm not even going to criticize that. Because with the price of everything, i can understand someone expecting value for their purchase. But if you're a customer in the drive-through expecting prompt service, you should be cognizant that you as the cutomer have a role to play in that prompt service.
I'm surprised you didn't post anything about people wanting extra, extra, extra sauce. Like there are some people that want an irrationally large amount of sauce. You already said you're supposed to charge them, but don't.
Since you're leaving this doesn't matter. But assuming you're going to have another job in customer service or one down the road. I recommend you taking the attitude that if you work 8hrs. Just come in and try to make as good of an impact in those 8 hrs. As you can and then let the rest roll off you like water off a ducks back. Because virtually all service jobs run understaffed. If you have a kick ass crew and find a way to make it work. The powers that be over you will just cut hrs. Because if you can do that good of a job, they rationalize it as they trim some more. And it's not even that they have to. It's just more profit. More profit makes happier shareholders. Jobs like that EXPECT a percentage of cutomer dissatisfaction. It's factored in. They don't really care if cutomers get mad, so long as they don't get so mad they don't come back. And every fast food joint mimics the same model. So they know once they leave, it's most likely only a matter of time before they get dissatisfied somewhere else and come back.
They say the customers always right. You can’t get mad at people for wanting this or that. sometimes people even add extra food or change the order and sometimes McDonald’s tells you to start over again to go back through the drive-through and i don’t like that just to get a extra French fries or a soda
Yes. Just do your job. Your employer doesn't give two fucks about you.
You should have a medical guardian who keeps you away from this type of jobs.
You're okay if you didn't lose control of your anger. To be honest with you, I would be irritated as hell about this too, but I would not let the customer know.
When you have a public facing job you have to learn to deal with abuse
I would of said were all out. Here's some more bbq
