Is it weird for a girl to sit on her brother's lap?

So the other day I was sitting on my younger brother's lap on the couch because there were no more seats left, and later my friend told me she told me she thought it was creepy...I'm 16 and he's 15, and we've always been really close, and I've sat on his lap before like in packed car rides and all with family and never thought it was a big deal.

What do you guys think?

If it isn't awkward for you, then it's fine. So long as you and you bro don't feel any weird sexual tension, it's no big deal. Some people are just more affectionate than others. I'm really close to my cousins, and when I hug them or dance with them (the male ones) some people think it's odd.

Of course if you make it awkward then it will be awkward. If you're not really thinking anything about it though and it's been normal for you guys, then it shouldn't really be a big problem

I personally wouldn't do that, and I don't know anyone who ever has. Whatever you're comfortable with is what ultimately matters, though.

no it’s a beautiful thing you’ve been doing it for a long time. You don’t feel bad about it and your brother doesn’t feel bad about it as long as neither of you feel bad about it. Don’t worry about what your friends say. Enjoy your bond with your brother they don’t have that bond with their brother and I’m sure that’s why they think it’s weird. Your family is OK with it too so nothing inappropriate going on here. Have a great day. My sister also sits on my lap no big deal
