Why I don’t see anything wrong with plastic surgery

I want to share my views on a sensitive and controversial topic.

Maybe you will change your mind, maybe you won’t

I, personally, would never get plastic surgery because I’m happy with my face and body. I believe in aging gracefully as well.

I respect people who are honest and open about their plastic surgery. I dislike people who are dishonest and say they were born that way. Just own up to it!

First of all, we live in a vain society. Whether you like it or not, people judge you for your looks. South Korea is considered plastic surgery capital in the world, where, parents actually give money to their kids to get plastic surgery as their graduation gift. It’s true! Read the news about it!

Plastic surgery is also very popular in the West, especially in California. Most celebrities get plastic surgery to improve their looks. Their career improves significantly after plastic surgery.

The entertainment and modeling industry relies on good looks. I have compassion for celebrities because they are under constant pressure and daily judgment about their looks.

Many people criticize the Kardashian/Jenner family for their various surgeries. Although I agree with certain criticisms. Kim Kardashian didn’t need any surgeries because I believe she was born beautiful. However, Kylie Jenner had very thin lips. She got lip fillers and she looks much better with bigger fuller lips. Nothing wrong it. Kylie Jenner definitely looks better with bigger lips.

Plastic surgery can greatly improve a person’s life and confidence. Why should they not have the choice to look beautiful?

If kids are born with some defects like a cleft lip, then they get surgery to remove it. Why can’t it be the same with certain features?

You can argue that beauty is subjective. But who likes a cleft lip? There are certain features all people find attractive. If you are born with a crooked nose, ugly smile or ugly teeth then you can get it fixed.

I’m certainly not advocating going overboard and getting 10000 surgeries. Those are what mentally ill people do. But there are certain surgeries that are reasonable.

I think as long as we do it for ourselves and not because "the boyfriend/husband wants me to get a boob job", it should be fine.

I think it's a good idea to talk to a counselor if we get plastic surgery so we can feel good about ourselves and we still don't feel good about ourselves, after the surgery.

Nothing wrong with plastic surgery as long as it doesn’t become a unhealthy addiction. I myself would like to get breast augmentation, rhinoplasty and an orchiectomy ( removal of testes ). I regularly get some minor amount of lip fillers too but very little to not overexaggerate the results.

I agree, I don't really see anything wrong with it like I got double eye lid surgery when I was young which is normal in Korea. I think surgery is fine as long as you're not changing your face completely or something like that.
