Simple, affordable and effective toiletry products

People fork over tons of cash looking for the best beauty products each year, but do you need to?

Some things are worth the price, but others aren't. Here are some things that are affordable and effective: basic but good.

1. Kiss my Face, pure olive oil soap.

2. Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap

3. Banana Boat protect & hydrate, spf 30

5. Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo

6. Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Rinse

7. Mrs. Meyers Laundry Detergent, with enzymes

8. Dr Bronner's organic sugar soap

9. Colgate plain toothpaste, ADA cert.

11. Red LED's (660nm) grow lamps or whatever

12. Waterpik, ADA cert.

These are all great soaps, or products. And the flip side is that most of them are so pure that you could literally make them yourself at home with home-soapmaking techniques. Which, may be a great thing to do while quarantined considering much of this soap is selling out online.

I like the intention here, but I'm very picky about what I put on my skin and I have high maintenance curly hair lol Mostly though I care about ingredients, "anti-aging" and gentle skin care, and cruelty free brands. I haven't used bar soap in forever. I use a combo of inexpensive products, mid-range products, and low-luxury (these would probably be way too expensive to you but in reality, there are some products even more expensive for the rich rich, so I call these low-luxury lol)

Different people like different things though, rock on and use what you like :)

I've been using Waterpik devices for years. They're very effective. Meanwhile, I think I'll give that Kiss my Face pure olive oil soap a shot.

Well, there's rogain. But those treatments mess with your hormones which is risky at your age.

It might be caused by nutrition deficiencies or stress. I would rule those out first. Could get the Cronometer nutrition tracking app (https://cronometer. com) and dial in your nutrition every day. That alone could start to show positive results for a number of health and beauty metrics.

I would also rule out sleep deprivation as a possible cause by getting 6-10 hours of good quality sleep per night.

Yep. It's also really good for skin and body tissue. And it never runs out, so it pays for itself as a long term purchase over and over.

@Robertcw Have you ever tried them on your body? I did when I was younger, it was great for my skin. I've noticed there aren't many tanning places that offer that nowadays.

@meesegoMoo I haven't but that's idea I had. Beauty companies took the idea of red light therapy from NASA research grow lamps abd then jacked up the prices of red led's for no reason.

I'd say try using a grow lamp for face and body skin. The research shows it works, and the NFL and I'd assume other athletes use red light led's for post workout muscle and tissue recovery. And it's a sustainable long term reusable product so it really seems like a food idea.
