Why do all girls shave their legs? What razor do you use?

I mean I find no problem with some hair on legs. But girls seem to shave their legs. And I don't know why. It tends to grow coarser and more disgusting and you have to shave everyday. Same goes for armpit hairs. Don't you think they grow too fast? And coarser? Do you think guys need to shave armpits?

TBH personally I like to shave my legs whenever I know I'm going to hang with my boyfriend, or the summer time and show bare skin. Armpits always will be shaved no matter what, it's just uncomfortable when it grows back. The smooth skin contact feels so good and cuddly when you shave your legs. Yes we know it grows back pretty quickly, but that's a task women have adapted and accepted. It's not that hard. It only takes about 5 minuets in the shower. And no, I don't think guys need to shave their pits, trim them yes so they don't poke out of T-shirts and look out of whack, but not shave totally bare. That's just my personal taste I guess.

Understand. But don't you think shaving makes the skin rough as well? How is that smooth anyway?

From what I've experienced, shaving does not make my skin rough at all. It actually leaves it softer for days. I like to lather Dove soap on my legs and leave it on for a while and re-lather my legs to shave instead of shaving cream (some reason I get more nicks with shaving cream) I guess that's why my legs feel so extra smooth.

Not all girls shave their legs... I started shaving my legs towards the end of 9th grade because I got home one day and was like, “hey I’m gonna shave my legs.” I still think it’s kinda stupid... I once was tempted to dye my leg hairs pink and leave some in the shape of a heart while the rest was shaved off—just to see if anyone noticed...

I like feeling smooth. That's why I shave. I do it because I like how it feels, never met an actual adult guy who cared either way tbh.

Also hair doesn't grow back coarser, wth? It grows back the same. Maybe a little darker in areas like arms/face whatever where the original hair would have been lightened by the sun but nothing else.

I don't shave my legs.
I never wear shorts/skirts/dresses, and I am not with a partner, so I don't see why I need to do it.
Besides, it's annoying, it'll just keep coming back.

My leg hair is barely visible (yet?), so another reason I don't need to shave.

I don't shave my legs, because the hair on my legs are so light it's barely visible. And the reason why I shave armpit hair, is because my armpits smell way worse and sweat more, if they are hairy. Also, I think clean armpits look better.

No. People can do what ever the hell they want with their body hair. I just personally feel disgusting, if I have armpit hair, but other people's armpit hair has no effect on me.

Once a week I apply a face mask, take a nice warm bath, shave my entire body and shower- It feels good when i come out and my body is all nice and smooth and I feel really clean and treated, making up for the 10 minute showers i do throughout the week. Even if i'm not showing skin that week i'll still do it for myself and I also like my legs better in shorts when my legs are shaved or my arms are shaved and I'm wearing a t-shirt.

Like, I mean I only have to do it once a week because it doesn't grow back that fast and most of my friends only shave once a week- I think I have one friend that shaves every two days or so but its definitely not everyday. I also wax my armpits and vagina because i'm too scared to shave them and it'll grow back in like a month.

Actually that's an old wive's tale; shaving doesn't make hair grow coarser and thicker. Hormones as you age can do that but not razors.

I shave because I think body hair is gross. It hasn't caused my hair to grow any differently.

Who tf shaves their legs and pits everyday? I will shave maybe once or twice a week. And my hair grows pretty past and comes in dark. And its been scientifically proven that shaving does not make hair come back thicker or coarser.

A lot of girls don't like how dark the hair on their legs are. I know that's how most of my friends are. I personally don't shave my legs because the hair on them is blond so it's not so noticeable.

I don't shave. However I tried it and I love the smooth feeling so much. But it does feel weird against my clothes and I feel like I took of a layer of my skin so I grow it back anyway.

No, guys should not shave. I did sport armpit hair to repel men like I did shave my head hair. When I didn't shave my legs, it was very unnoticeable. (headshaving days are over.) :P

Its dont grow faster for me and its not more or coarser it just the ends are blunt when they grow back.. When i shave i feel cleaner and more neat. When u wear a dress u wanna feel fresh and thats what shaving does for me

Well, it isn't that painful really, and it is a bit expensive, so first time I go waxing, and then I use epilator.

Yes it hurts but its only momentarily quick, from other people I know it doesn't hurt for them. I think it depends on the thickness of your hair. Mine is thick
