I'm a 29yo guy with gynecomastia and I want to start wearing bras, I don't know where to start. Is this ok?

I am 29 and for the last 2 years have been developing breasts due to a hormonal imbalance.
At first I was very embarrassed and ashamed of my new breasts, but after talking to a few people have kind of learned to love them and embrace them, (what else can I do, being upset about it won't help anything).

I want to start wearing a bra, sometimes to hide them a bit and sometimes maybe even a pretty one, but have no clue where to start.
I would like to be fitted for a bra but don't know how to go about this. Any advice on fit, styles, brands etc. Is much appreciated.

As a woman with PCOS who has to pluck facial hairs daily because of it, I feel your pain.

Minimizer bras are awesome. They worked wonders for me when I was a well endowed self conscious sixteen year old who wanted too look smaller. They made my Ds look more like Bs lol.

As for fittings, I’m not really sure what to say. In experience the best advice comes from people who’ve been there. You can find them on the Mayo Clinic website, through social media and even through your doctor. I know it sounds stupid, but those people can probably give better advice since they’ve also been in that situation themselves. It kinda sounds like you want to be a cross dresser. Otherwise I would suggest seeking medical treatment coupled with plastic surgery to remove the breast tissue

I've tried the testosterone treatment and it made me very quick to get angry, so I stopped it. But if I'm being g 100% honest, yes I have crossdressed in the past, and I think that may be part of why I am not as upset about this as some guys are.

And the plastic surgery to remove them is not covered by insurance since it's considered cosmetic. So there goes that idea.

Hey depends on your chest size on where to go for proper sizing.

If your chest is 38 inches or lower. Victoria's Secret is the best place for a fitting.

If your chest is larger then 38 inches. Lane Bryant is a great place to go.

But just call them up a head of time and make a appointment for a fitting.

Now it you want to do it yourself. I'm sure your can find instructions online. I could tell you, but I'm too lazy to type it out.

Once you find out your size. I can then tell you how to never pay full price for a bra and maybe some for free or near free.

If you want to be a cross dresser a normal looking bra may be it. If you want to remain "as manly as possible" i might recommend something like a sports bra or something similar like that. Regular bras seem very ladylike to me. Not that sports bras would be manly but they dont stand out as feminine as regular bras to me. This kinda depends on your bust size though. A bigger bust will likely require a proper bra.

what you need to see is a Endocrinologist who can give you a

I've tried this, testosterone replacement therapy made my emotions very sporadic and not in a good way, I was getting angry very easily and I don't want that for myself. Thank you for the suggestion though.

I have a binder and honestly it starts to hurt after about 30 minutes of wearing it, it's not really a great option.

Another solution to is to workout your chest muscles. It will buffin you up and make it less feminine. Youd have a strong sexy masculine chest.

I know. people like men and women feels embarrassed when something goes wrong than normal. The only solution is a remove those tissue if it is more in size or do increase muscle to cover those tissue. Like with chest exercise. With hormonal therapy.

As I've explained to others, I've tried the testosterone replacement and it caused me to become very moody and easy to anger, which was not at all ok with me so I stopped. And any corrective surgery is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance so that is also off the table.

If you're country has a government hospital or trustee hospital where surgery is performed. Then go with doctor consultation.

Surgery is not covered by insurance due to it being cosmetic and an elective procedure, I do a cardio workout 5 days a week to stay fit, breasts are still growing.

Yes, the extra testosterone made me very moody and quick to anger, which is not something I could deal with.
