I don't think one should have to pay more money but let me share something
similar to yours , my cousin. Lynn is age 61 , well she likes to wear her hair long
so she went to SmartStyles in Walmart the other day , Two Women there both
agree it would most likely cost her $156.00 + to get her hair done. So now she's
holding on to some money cause she's not quite sure what to do. Also, she may
need her money for something else important so it's one of those things your
damn if you do and your damn if you don't. It's shame how outrageous people
are to cut ones hair i went to walk in Barber Shop , the Woman was just a Barber
for Men's haircut cost me $16.00 , for a haircut today. Even for Men over 65
the cost is still $13.00 so it just makes no sense but as a old saying is they
forgot the war was over. I can't imagine what a haircut will be for people or
for Women who needs special treatment for their hair , It's just not fair what
the price is and i see things this way , people are out for money and not out
for anything else. SMH I wish you the best -Hugs- 🙏😇

No, the marginal costs of offering that service is simply greater than when hair is easy to manage.
So in principle it is fine to charge more money for these private businesses.
Naturally, a question is whether it is commercially smart to potentially deter these customers from visiting you if you charge more, whereas others (and there tend to be a lot of barbers everywhere) may not do so.
It could backfire hard when thick, difficult hair costs you 15% more time to manage but you charge 20% more, when others will manage it without charging the increased mark-up.
It may be rational to not increase prices because you may deter customers. However, that depends on the price elasticity of demand for these services.
So yes, it is acceptable to charge more. Should you as a business charge more? Likely not.
Yes. One takes far more care and time than other hair. A hairdresser can take hours standing and doing one persons hair, while another type of hair, a hairdresser could take three the time it takes to do one of the others. I think its fair to pay more if it takes longer, the hairdresser needs to make ends meet.
Dang i wouldn't know. I wash my hair on occasion in the shower and put conditioner on it and throw it in a bun. I've been wearing a bun or ponytail for like 20 years. I only get perms like 3 times a year now and style my hair like twice a year 😂🤷♀️
Dont people with thick hair pay more already in salons and stuff? Like between products, time, and whatever else you need therr, girls and guys with thicker hair are already paying for their time there, which i assume is hella expensive. So...

Businesses should have the absolute right to set their prices. You should have the absolute right to pay their price or not do business with them. They don't have the right to hold a guy to your head and force you to buy at the price they wish to charge. Nor do you have the right to use a gun to force them to sell for less.
Yes. It's not discrimination, it just takes more work and more time. People throw around the discrimination card way too much these days.
Yes. Because your hair stylist has to work harder in comparison to do your hair.
No what you do is just charge by the hour. If it takes long to do something because of thick hair then it takes longer and you pay more. That way no one can claim discrimination
of course. its the same with plus size clothing due to more fabric use
Yes. Think of it as going to the dentist. . . More work, more time, more money.
Now if it was an actual disablity, then no.Don't go to white barber shops or Korean or Spanish got to black barber shops or hair salons i should say.
Anyone charging you. Extra isn't worth your dollar- u
No I just get a crew cut then grow it out and then it gets long enough cut it off again
It is logical that more work warrants higher costs, except to the Marxist-indoctrinated among us.
Yeah. It's like a renovation contractor, if everything is dry wall it won't cost as much to remodel than if there are cement walls.
I think my hair would fall under 3A. But i just got a haircut.
Time & resources = money spent.
Hell yeah... time is money
