No, not at all ! Skinny can be tall and skinny ! Petite is smaller features or attributes! Petite is more of a size measurement whereas skinny is a thickness measurement!

They are not the same. Runway models are skinny but not petite. Short women with a slightly hourglass body probably qualify as petite but may not get called skinny.

Petite also implies short. There are plenty of 6 feet tall and up walking planks out there, they're not petite.

Not the same petite is short under 5' 3". You can be 6 ft. tall and be skinny.

I would say that skinny is very slender, regardless of height. Petite simply means small.

I think petite is also for short too. A petite woman is not necessarily just a skinny woman as she may be tall and skinny.

I always referred to small waist/stomach area as skinny and petite was all around tiny body as in thin arms, legs, short and skinny.
