What's with the new trend of wearing bikini tops upside down?

Don't get me wrong I think it makes boobs look fantastic and haven't seen a bad example but what made all these models start doing this?

I have to imagine that it doesn't give much support, which means (with breasts above a certain size) it'd be rather uncomfortable. I don't think I'd ever seen it before (then again, I don't look at bikini pictures for the bikinis, so I might've missed it), but I'd assume it's done more for attention than anything else.
