No. the US Military was defeated in Vietnam & left with their tail tucked between their legs.
A strategic victory is a victory that brings long-term advantage to the victor and disturbs the enemy's ability to wage a war. When a historian speaks of a victory in general, they are usually referring to a strategic victor.
Examples:
•Battle of Antietam, American Civil War: The battle itself was a tactical draw, as the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia under Robert E. Lee was forced to end its incursion into the North while the Union Army of the Potomac under George B. McClellan was unable to capitalize on its numerical advantage to destroy the Confederate army outright before the latter retreated back to Virginia. However, the battle provided an opportunity for President of the United States Abraham Lincoln to issue the Emancipation Proclamation, which prominently tied the issue of slavery to the war itself and made the prospect of British or French intervention in favor of the Confederacy much more remote as neither government could be seen as openly supporting a practice that both countries had themselves banned for years.
•First Battle of the Marne, World War I: The Allied victory managed to stop the German advance towards Paris at the city's eastern outskirts and ended prospects for a quick defeat of France in the Western Front, resulting in the frustration of the German Schlieffen Plan and leading to the two-front war the Plan had sought to avoid.
•Battle of Moscow, World War II: The successful Soviet defence of its capital.
•Battle of the Coral Sea, World War II: Though the Imperial Japanese Navy sank more Allied naval vessels in the battle than they lost, the planned Japanese invasion of Port Moresby in New Guinea and Tulagi in the southeastern Solomon Islands was checked and the unavailability of two fleet carriers (thanks to this battle) that could have otherwise been used by the IJN at the Battle of Midway a month later contributed to the US' decisive victory in the latter, marking the high point of the extent of the Japanese Empire after which Japan would gradually retreat.
•Tet Offensive, Vietnam War: Though the United States and South Vietnam recorded tactical victories as they were eventually able to repulse all of the Viet Cong's attacks during the offensive, the high-profile attacks greatly damaged the perception in the United States that the communists were being defeated since it was thought the VC were incapable of launching such an offensive. US public support for the war deteriorated and the US government began to draw down its involvement in the war as well as seek negotiations for a peace agreement.

9/10 I hate it. I can't breathe properly. Criminals are more likely to get away with a crime because of them. They are ugly. They cost money. They are unconforable. And I love makeup. Can't even look cute on a day I feel like looking cuter. I also have dry lips because my lips balm keeps rubbing off them.
The only time mask are good is on a really cold and windy day, you don't get a cold face.
PSA: Mask doesn't protect you from getting covid. They stop you from spreading it to others if you contracted it.
For very long periods of time? No. But I do enjoy wearing it around the place if it is not for too long because I like the design on mine :)
The only reason I don't like long periods of wearing them is really just because it makes me feel a little short of breath if I wear it constantly, if I didn't have that problem I would be super chill wearing it all day :p
I mean, I also own a Plague mask and I can breath super well with that but it doesn't have the filters and it is just a thing I wear at home sometimes because I like what it looks like.
But my other mask with a proper filter has a Hannibal Lecter design on it and I wear that all the time but since I am not able to breath in large amounts of air like when you don't have a mask on, it feels a bit suffocating after long periods of time.
I would estimate after about an hour I would need to take a 15 minute time with the mask off just to get fresh air :p
No 👎, but it seems that truth is stranger than fiction, since the brutal nature of that truth, has become a self fulfilling prohecy for me...

When I wear a mask, they cannot tell who I am. But they still pay a lot of attention to me. Maybe I should wear something more than just the mask.
Actually, I have to wear one all day because of work. And it blows my breath back up into my eyes and after a while it begins hurting them. Even with lots of eyedrops, it continues to get worse. I am so glad to leave work and be done with the mask. Kinda like you going home and taking off your bra, I guess.Nope, i hate masks, there is absolutly no personal upside to wearing a mask to me.
Its hot and damp cause catching my breath just makes it wet, I'm sure it full of bacteria at this point, obviously I dont wear makeup and worse it hides my beard, and as a guy I'm already ignored, people dont try to talk to me.
And I'm not even worried about covid, I dont care if i catch it cause I'm 99.9% sure it wouldn't make me sick.
I only wear a mask cause i dont want to hear a bunch of strangers bitch at me.It was a pain at first but now I enjoy it. Just think about all the bad breath we've been saved from so far! I do miss seeing women smile as they go about their days but I've learned to appreciate the "eye smile" a whole lot more.
Imagine those faces with masks on and you'll note the difference.
No, I accidentally dropped it on the floor in front of people in a store and it was embarrassing and I'm kinda tired of breakouts bc of them
Me in a fake maskFogs up my glasses... plus I've already had it and I... just don't want to.
But... I wear it mostly because most of the stores I go to are Mom and Pop stores and I know them and I don't want them to be uncomfortable.I am finding it pleasing, I’ve told people even after covid starts to slow down and we start going back to normal, I’ll still wear a mask. I also like it because it creates a mystery of how I look and people won’t treat me a certain way for looking a certain way since they don’t really know how we look like.
I like it.
Don't have to worry if I'm making weird faces, or if my lipstick rubbed off, or if I have something in my teeth. Plus, I think they can look pretty cute.
I also like the added benefit of feeling more protected, as well as the feeling I am protecting others from my own germs.
I don't mind wearing them all day at work and never seem to have any breathing problems either.- s
I hate wearing a mask. I mean, I understand that I must wear it for my own safety and the safety of those around me, but it makes me feel uncomfortable. Sometimes I have a hard time breathing because of it. Plus, I wear glasses and every time I breath or speak while wearing a mask they get blurry. It's so annoying!
Meh, I don't really mind, too much.
I don't think non-glasses wearers appreciate how easy they have it, though. I can't breathe without my glasses steaming up. It's even worse in the cold weather, but even in nice weather it's still a problem.
I have a nice blood roses mask (From Spiral) that matches a top I have. I like the aesthetic of some masks.
I can't say I've felt any greater anonymity - People who recognise me have still spotted me in stores, etc.Yeah I like wearing one. I feel more confident and comfortable as I'm pretty insecure as it is without one. I don't feel like I have to prep my face too as really you're only seeing my eyes and above. Can get annoying as I like to smile at people as a nice gesture but I can't show much expression with my eyes lol.
No I do not, after Biden signed the EO that required masks on all federal land, dumbest EO ever... have to wear masks while hiking in the middle of freaking on where.
Go ahead try getting a good workout with a mask on, can't even get enough air through them.
I don't mind them for a short time, say grocery shopping but all day long is too much. No, I'm kina tired of it really.. They don't even work, and I touch it all the time so that kina defeats the purpose evenif they did somehow work.. Especially at the gym.. It's okay when I'm lifting, but then when I start running on the treadmill and afterwards.. Oof.. And I mean I wear it below my nose most times.
No , and do not wear one , for one , asthma has made an unwelcome return , and more importantly , they are useless and I do NOT buy this " super deadly virus " BS , we would have all been tripping over dead & dying if it was as bad as the BS " media " and banking cartel puppet " governments " made out.
There's something amusing about putting on a mask with my hat and going up to the teller in the bank.
But I'm twisted that way...
Other than that, the only place they didn't insist I wear my mask was on the ICU ward after I'd had Covid. I guess they figured it was more scared of me than I was of it after that...I really hate wearing it cause it makes my nose itchy and irritated at times but I don't complain, when I have to go out, I wear it.
However I found a loophole, I stay indoors 99% of the times.
I order in grocceries and home essentials and I don't like going to social gatherings as it is so no problem there.
Nowadays I only go out for a short time once in a while for an emergency purchase of any item that ran out.I absolutely love wearing a mask because when I stick my tongue out & lick my lips at cute guys (under my mask), they have no idea what I'm doing, they think I'm innocent, simple & pure. Guys are stupid like that.
way a course of conduct More (Definitions, Synonyms, Translation)
No, but I do! I only wear it when I am around people. I feel the people working in stores have enough to deal with without dealing with someone that refuses to wear a mask!! Just the other day I saw someone hit someone for telling them to wear a mask. They did not deserve that for just doing their job!!!
I hate wearing masks because I feel have lost my identity and some people have too. Also I can't recognize people when they wear a mask one time I was at the store I didn't even recognize my own sister until she showed me her face. I not against masks since its saving lives with the corona I just can't wait for this pandemic is over and we don't have to wear masks.
That's really their whole purpose. Identity deletion. Hence why they have been mandated. The war on the psyche is immense.
Suffice to say, ain't a fan :)I F hate it. I have to chois to look like a doctor or la a criminal.
I olso hate how i looke.
I don't care if the virus kill me or others, i use the mask just to get in the shop for 3-4 min make my shops and get out and take it off right away.
I date in the pandemy, i kill stranger girls, i share my food.
This times for me is just like a big holiday.
