I desire to switch barbers but don't know how to go by doing it or coming off as a jerk?

I have been with my current barber for about 4 years now, she is currently on vacation but today I went by the shop and got a new haircut and I like this new barber at a lot and desire to stick with him to cut my hair.

Problem is how can I switch when both of them work in the same shop, how can I tell her I desire to have him cut my hair without hurting her feelings, besides the point it will be very awkward when I walk in there next time and we see each other but I go to the other guy?

It might cause some sort of work place friction between them, who knows?

You really think this hasn't happened to her before. I get it, you're loyal! But keep in mind you ARE paying for it.

I remember having this situation at my barbers once. One guy got all the business pretty much. So I chose the other guy to give him business, and for the quick and easiness of it. But they guy did a terrible job and even cut my ear.

I didn't feel bad after that. 😆

I would guess that your situation occurs fairly often barbers. They are likely used to it and handle it professionally.

Just ask for an appointment with the other person over the phone, and only say that you really liked the last cut if asked.

Its business it happens. Whenever I go to my barber most have known me for years. I go to whoever is available to cut my hair. Im not picky who does it.

She was on vacation and she wasn’t there so you had to get a haircut by someone. She’ll understand

Find out when the one you like is there and your old one is not, and schedule / go in then.
