Can a dress be let out a size bigger?

I have a beautiful wedding dress that has ivory tulle and crystal beading on the bodice. It’s beautiful. But it’s one size too small. It will only half zip up. I can’t lose weight as I’m on meds that cause weight gain.

You can take it to a tailor and maybe they can take it out or change the back zipper to a lace up but yes there’s probably a fix for it.

Yeah, but you are looking for a wedding tailor. This is not a regular tailor. These types are often designer, drawers, and test sew creators.

Usually they are made to be able to be taken out a bit.

Your best bet is to find a shop that does alterations. Wedding dresses usually can be taken out a size or two.

Impossible if there isn't extra fabric allowance hidden in the seams. Much easier to decrease sizes than increase.

I call BS on this, you can always lose weight, it's just require more work than you are willing to put in. And that is on you.

That’s easy for you to say. I’ve been dieting and working out like crazy and I have been unable to lose the thirty five kilos I gained in a year after I started taking meds for schizophrenia. You try taking them and see how easy it is to lose the weight.

Why did you even bother answering? I mean other than to make a rude comment. You DO NOT know this girl’s circumstance, nor do you know that some medications cause weight gain. Perhaps think about it before replying so rudely next time.

It's simple truth everyone that blame things like medicine do not adopt to the change. You won't gain weight because of medicine. You gain weight by eating. So if your medicine change your metabolism, then you need to change your eat habits. It's physics and chemistry. So like I said it all boil down to habits and will to keep them up.
