Everything about this screams, "Look at me, look at my ass!" I'm not sure whether to put this under 'Fashion' or 'Sexuality'. For some weird reason this video was recommended for me by 'YouTube', and I have no idea why, because I just don't watch these at all.

+1 yI've seen these before, and it's so obvious when they want to show off their clothes, vs when they want to show off their bodies.
I watch music videos and documentaries too, and foot stuff😂, but some of the girls I follow occasionally do hauls, and it's so obvious when they're using it as an excuse to show their bodies.
The YouTube algorithm has gotten weird. Sometimes it'll recommend the randomest shit. They'll often try to promote certain channels/content and I know fashion is really popular.

+1 yBloody cannot stand these kinds of YouTubers. They're attention seekers and their "content" is such a low bar in skill. Women like that have it so easy... just pretend to "try on" clothes and flash a bit of skin... voila... thousands of views. Pathetic.

A lot of these youtubers are not ametuers, same with tik tokers, snapchatters, Instagram models and onlfans girls. They or someone else has a good knowledge about making content, marketing, producing editing, filming etc.
So you look at who the target audience is for this girl's chanel which would explain the content and that target audience is young teens 13-20 who want to emulate and be seen as both fashionable and sexual by guys and simping male guys. Risqué clicbait content gets more views and like and subscribitions which equals more money.

+1 yYes... Some people believe that... women
I would be careful about generalizing, some that I have run across for whatever reason have Try Ons that can be more or less conservative, or at least not outright sexual.
A lot of disfavor is driven by a lot of women who are very insecure and quite jealous. It should come to mind that people (including women) generally like to see 'good' looking people try on clothes, that doesn't mean that viewing it is solely based on a sexual fetish or something...
00 ReplyYoutube is a commercial, these are not user generated videos. They are only intended to look like user generated videos. She is a professional model/actress hired through an agency to sell items on a YouTube channel. Or maybe it is her channel and other companies pay her for the time and views. Youtube itself will pay for views that a channel receives. By definition this means that YouTube is not really social media like it was back in the day, It's actually commercial media since there is a money making angle to it. It's designed to look like it's social media to influence the public.

+1 yObviously, only kids under 11/14 could think that it's for the clothes. What is bad howewer are young girls watching it and wanting to do it too thinking that it's about clothes. At least they will quickly get what's going on with the comments, but it's awful.

+1 ydidn't watch. the clothes are about the body. This is women doing what they do, there's no surprise here.
Women are quite aware of their bodies, their skin. The estrogen must trigger some thinking about how to draw people to them, the focus being on appearance, visual stimulation. Some of that is personality and culture, not everyone is like that. I'd honestly say, it's somewhat... lower character.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yWhen you monetize what Mother Nature has given you, you will become even poorer when Mother Nature takes it away. She has gym videos but there is more focus on showing her butt than any training.
Opinion Owner+1 y@suzzieQ No because Mother Nature hasn't given any man the strength (or muscle) by default that can be monetized (with little to no effort). In order to do that he needs to put in mass amounts of effort, training, discipline, sacrifice, dieting and long term. It can take up to half of their life span...
Thus it then becomes like anything else we've had to earn. An average woman can put on a little makeup and go on Onlyfans or do a YouTube video and monetize her looks easily with little to no effort.
The one in the above video clearly puts in the effort in the gym but spends so much time showing her body, jumping up and down and doing all kinds of unnecessary stuff to show her body. And no I won't be watching any more of those cliche videos...
Opinion Owner+1 y@suzzieQ No I was wrong. According to a lady that does OnlyFans. She said now it's very different because so many others are doing it. She said due to it being so saturated it's no longer as easy due to massive competition and high quality content. But I don't think many will agree that it's as much work Vs what a man would need to do for the same, or to monetize his strength / muscle.
- +1 y
Actually, I would argue that it is easier for men to monetize their strength. Just look at how many blue-collar jobs out there that don't require a college education or virtually any skill.
Doesn't exactly take a lot of work to figure out how to put haybales on a trailer or drive nail shingles to a roof.
Opinion Owner+1 y@suzzieQ And there is nothing stopping women from doing exactly the same jobs. They take up from 0.5-3% of those jobs.
What I'm referring to is monetization that results in higher than average income. For example, some OnlyFan models are estimated to earn 20 million a month while some get about $900,000. There is a man that does eating challenges that earns $500,000 but in general it's women earning the most and although it's hard work, it's still from showing off their body, figure, face and beauty which cannot be compared to decades of work to earn a fraction of the amount.- +1 y
@suzzieQ It's cheap and requires little to no transformation. It's shallow. It's not impressive and easily replaceable which is why it probably is tough on onlyfans now. And they can try harder but men don't care. They just want a fix. They don't care about lighting and all that bs. Plus it's just so eww. Like dudes don't even want those women. They don't view them how you think. It's literally simply about dopamine. a lot of those men are addicts who want to stop. Some of them are kids watching those YT videos and even on OF and these porn sites. I don't view those women any different than a prostitute. They are selling their bodies for men to get sexual pleasure. It is simply a different form of it. And in a few decades or sooner the schools are going to try bring this up very early on because it's damaging boys. Some girls even brag about it taking advantage of men. It's sick. I remember reading about some messed up stuff in this one article a few years ago about it is becoming a teen epidemic.
And unlike a labor worker (men and women), these girls are not busting their butt. Labor workers are doing soul sucking work that no one wants to do due to toughness or pay. It may not require much transformation but it sucks. Even if some do like it, it's honorable compared to these women.
You know these girls are living on easy mode and they are doing it the most disgusting way. Like c'mon you know if you were sitting at the family table you wouldn't brag about selling yourself online. There is a reason boys and men dont brag about watching porn. - +1 y
@Sunssong They are providing a service just like billions of other people who work for a living.
Obviously you are no familiar with the concept of supply and demand.
It is not easy to become the top 1% of anything and if you really think it is than you should try, then come back and talk about how easy it is...
Big difference between selling yourself and providing a service... - +1 y
@OpinionOwner I don't see you complaining about body builders, football players and male Olympians... Welcome to capitalism, the driving force of the US democracy. The highlight is that people get to chose what they want to do, some are successful and some are not. Sure some get lucky, like those who are born into generational wealth, but sometime people use what they have and make bank. Supply and demand...
Yeah I do watch some of these because I am tall as fuck, so I want to see how it fits on someone a similar height as me before I drop a ton of money on clothing that doesn't fit.
