What do you think about men wear female clothes and why is it okay for women to wear men's clothes?

1 yI've been asking the same question for decades!! Women have been wearing men's clothes for at least 100 years, now and hardly ANYBODY gives a shit about it but, if a guy wears women's clothes or ANYTHING that even MIGHT be the SLIGHTEST bit fem, LOOK OUT!! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!! It's like, somehow, guys have it in their heads that wearing ANYTHING fem will make their balls drop off or, at least, instantly turn them gay! I wore a mini skirt and pantihose on stage for 25 years and quite often, off stage, too and I have NO desire AT ALL to fuck another guy or have one fuck me!! I'm ONLY interested in women!! I'm not AGAINST gays or gay sex, you go right ahead and do you! I'm just not at all interested... unless it's a couple women... and maybe a few interesting toys... and a vat of Jell-O.

I've had loads of people tell me they appreciate me wearing these things and quite a few other drummers have started wearing a skirt on stage, too. I've even had male fans show up at our gigs wearing skirts in support of my doing it!! One night at the Pyatt St. Pub Downunder, I was near the door shooting pool by myself an hour or so before we went on (we were headlining so, we went on last) and this slightly burley guy wearing motorcycle boots, probably a leather jacket and a multi-coloured skirt (sort of a sarong that goes from waist to shins), walks in right in front of me, walks right up to me, shakes my and says, "I wore this in your honour." I WAS and still AM honoured!!
In this video, from, "Late Night With David Letterman", we have bassist/vocalist Royston (I forget his last name) wearing a full length skirt. At this point in time, he was married to a very famous fashion model. For the most part, guys don't need to wear bras but, I still don't see a problem with them doing so, if they feel like it. It's not like it's gonna hurt anything, except maybe his shoulders.

1 yOkay so, I don’t care because if it makes the wearer happy then by all means do it. I’m not going to go up to every woman / man I don’t like wearing something that ‘offends me’ then go “Don’t!” because it is on them to make that decision for themselves.
I’ve seen men who wear earrings, men with long hair, men who dress “feminine”, even men with pink shirts also makeup/eyeliner. I’ve seen women who wear boots, denim jeans, cowboy hats with no makeup on / minimal feminine traits also no painted nails. Based on these observations, if a woman or man took all attributes and wore them why would I care if I didn’t care about the small traits separate? I’m not a triggered little snowflake over that, let people be people and dress how they feel fit.
My main point is men wear ‘feminine’ things & women wear ‘masculine’ things daily without people batting an eye however if it is completely feminine or masculine people lose their minds and it is frankly unwarranted.

1 yIt being acceptable for women wearing close didn't happen over night and sadly we as a collective haven't evolved much. We don't like what isn't the norm, we think people should blend in with the masses where our norms, values and morals are slow to change. We're ALWAYS influenced by previous paradigms and our current one has a part in how we think.
/Social constructivism among other things. Conformity too.

Who cares.
My BIL works out a lot and prefers to wear womenswear because they're more form fitting and I agree - it looks good on him.
Fashion standards, or however you wanna call it, change all the time. It used to be normal for guys to wear dresses as kids.
Can't understand why people would care about what others wear anyway.

Fashion is all about self-expression, and clothes should be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of gender. It's perfectly fine for anyone to wear what makes them feel comfortable and happy. Women wearing men's clothes has been socially accepted for a while, highlighting society’s gradual shift towards gender fluidity in fashion. Embracing different styles opens up creativity and personal freedom 🌟. Wear what makes you happy!

00 ReplyI do sometimes as I like to present as non-binary or genderfluid. We generally just take some things from both genders to be either way, or go all-in one direction. Which is comfortable for me. Like for a cold outing this weekend I paired a sweater with a long midi skirt, tights, and mary janes. I get random compliments from women out of nowhere normally more so than guys.
If I had swapped to say leather pants and doc martens, it wouldn't be all that much different. Can make just one outfit change and make a big swing. Basically wear what you like.00 Reply
1 yfemale clothes are mostly designed to emphasize female shapes... as men don't have them... the clothes simply don't look good on men...

then they wouldn't be female... right?
1 yI see no reason why anyone would have an issue with this, lol. Like why are so many people so obsessed with what other people are doing?
The only case in which I can understand is when it involves romantic/sexual partners. Because you wanna be attracted to your partner.
But otherwise, who cares if your friends, family, acquaintances, strangers, etc, are wearing opposite gender clothes?

Anonymous(36-45)1 yIt’s one thing if it’s done as a joke. Like if you lose a bet or something.
But some people take this a bit too seriously. I don’t think it should be against the law or anything. People can do what they want. But personally I question somebody’s marbles when they do this.
Also men wearing women’s clothes will definitely get a lot more sideways glances then women wearing men’s clothing.
00 ReplyThere was a time when there was a distinct separation. However it has become totally for women to wear traditional men's clothing styles. Why is it still frowned upon for men to wear traditional women's styles?

I think it's easier for a girl to borrow clothes from her boyfriend than the other way around.
