Why does ignoring her just gets her attention?

I worked with that girl for about 1 year, and never really talked to her or care about her for the whole time, until she began to talk to me and everything, and that she have a crush on me. Since I thought she was nice and cute, I have been nice her for about a month now. I was hanging out being as nice as I could be and I have only been respectful and everything. After a month, she was talking to me about how she miss her ex boyfriend, as if I was is friend. I was like ; omg, wtf, etc. Then, 3 days ago I went up to the store we both work to check out my schedule, knowing she was working, and I totally ignored her, she followed me in the backstore, I had my headphone so I continued, then went outside to get home, she followed me outside doing as if she had to do something outside lol. Then we she got home she called me and said what's your problem I thought we liked each others and I thought we could date. I'm starting to think if I'm nice she will be friend and if I act like an asshole with her she will love me. This is strange. And I hate acting like that but well.

numerous scientific studies show that women commit _far_ more emotional abuse than men do. and these studies also show that women tend to select partners who commit roughly similar levels of emotional abuse. ignoring someone can be a mild form of abuse.

so my theory is that when girls respond to headgames like this, it's because they derive a demented pleasure from the mild abuse. and it gives them an excuse to abuse you, creating a cycle of abuse that will drive both of you half-crazy. for decades, people have made excuses about this kind of female crap, but the hard truth is that it is abusive and harmful.

this is why I do my best to avoid games of any kind with women. I understand that they're provoking me into abuse. if she doesn't respond to simple, direct communication, I don't waste my time with her. if she ignores me after being friendly and talkative, I don't waste my time with her. this tactic drastically reduces the number of potential dates for me, but it also means the girls I do date are _far_ more likely to be nice and consistent.

It sounds like she could just be playing games with you. Have you ever noticed that a girl will completely ignore a guy until he gets a girlfriend, and then suddenly she wants him? I think you should keep ignoring her because she's not worth your time. If she can't just come out and show you that she likes you, she's probably at least a little immature.
