Should I leave him my number or no? And what should I say?

Question

So there's this guy who lives in my apartment building and I've had a crush on him for a few months now. I see him looking at me whenever he can and he always either waves or says hi and asks how I'm doing. We've only seen each other in passing and haven't ever had an actual conversation. I think he has a crush on me too based on the amount of staring, but I'm not entirely sure if he has a girlfriend, although I don't think he does. The biggest thing holding me back is that I'll be moving far away in about a week. I'd really like to know him but I'm way too shy to try to give him my number in person, plus I've never really had the chance since every time I see him it's always in passing and quick. I was thinking of writing him a note with my number and leaving it in the clip by his door when I leave. What should I say? Everything I think of seems super cheesy or weird to say in a handwritten note. Help please!!

Also, if he does have a girlfriend do you think he'll just throw it away? Or still say hi since he stared all the time?

He probably either has a girlfriend and is the cheating type or he doesn't. I'll just be positive and assume that he is single as i assume you are, in which case he probably likes you, i assume, don't quote me because i don't really have a whole lot of experience with guys, but it seems like, from my opinion, that he might. Just make sure that you ask him first, me being a shy girl i get where you're coming from, so if he has any social media sites he's on that you know of then try to follow or friend or whatever so you can contact him, then if he is interested in you then you could possibly get him to go onto a dating website like match or zoosk or whatever and in the meanwhile you can get to know him, his favorite hobbies, movies, tv shows, games, and etc. It will give you a lot more time, while you can work it into simple conversations over the internet. And within enough time you can go and see each other for dates. Just basically a long distance relationship. If he has a girlfriend then it might be best to just move on, in my opinion, because if he cheats on her, what's to stop him from cheating on you? Also I've read that guys might look at you without like liking you if you are wearing see-through clothes, so make sure that if your clothes are see-through that you have a cute camisole or something on underneath, of course, or you can change clothes. really this is only my opinion, i probably know about as much as you do, so in the end it's solely your decision.

No, don't give him your number. Okay, hear me out. Every rship expert says this "if a guy really wants something, he'll go for it" (i watch Matt Hussey) and since he hasn't made the first move, it means, he doesn't want it very much. Yes, he looks, yes he prolly thinks you're nice on the eyes, but, he doesn't like what he sees enough to make the first move. No, this doesn't have to do with the age old 'guys should make the first move'. Its just natural, if a guy wants it, he'll come for it, but since he's not coming, then he's not interested enough. (Yes, saying it twice, cause its hard to absorb it) It makes sense if you think about it long enough. And really girl, you deserve someone who is interested in you 100% not someone who is only 50% in to you.

But, if you really do like him you could drop your handkerchief and give him an opening. I don't mean dropping your handkerchief literally. You get what I mean. Then the ball will be in his court to respond. From there you'll 60% know whether he's into you or not. You're leaving in a week anyway, just try dropping your hanky, and also dropping a comment like 'Man, I'll miss this place, cause I'm leaving in a few days' . That is obvious enough and he'll get the hint. If he doesn't ask for your number then you know. If he does then :) good luck!

I think that the next time you pass him by, and you guys say "hi" to one another, I'd stop him for he left and say something along the lines of "Hey, wait up a sec! I was wondering what you were doing later?" let him respond; if he responds positively, reply with something simple "Oh, okay, well, if you ever want to talk or anything, you can just call me or something." See how he responds. If he responds negatively, I'd simply just bow out gracefully! Good luck!

Get to know him a bit better. Don't just leave your number for him. Get to know him, find out if he's seeing anyone and if he's not, go for it. If he is, stick to being friends.

Leave him your number, as long as you are ok with the fact that a long distance relationship almost never work out and are stressful at the best of times. It might be an idea to leave him your number with a note saying you would like to be friends and that you are moving away. That leaves as many possibilities open for the future as you can manage. It also gives him the agency of knowing he can talk to you or even pursue you as a love interest.
I can pretty much say with certainty that even if he has a girlfriend he would be super chuffed to receive a note like that from a girl.

Just offer it to him and suggest you two go have some drinks soon! Sometimes you just have to break your comfort barrier and it could be the best move you ever made. If he says no or has a girlfriend then no big deal you are about to move away and not see him anyways.

You think you should ask him in person the next time you see him. Because if he do have a girlfriend, you wouldn't her to get the note and see it. Next time you see him you should ask if he have a girlfriend. Then, if not go ahead and proceed saying I always wanted to get to know you; just wasn't sure if you had a girlfriend. Finally, you can exchange number.

Don't bother... Literally the last three dates I've been on each girl has told me she's going to be moving in a couple months so in my mind I'm like ok well this isn't going to go anywhere so thanks for taking my money and wasting my time. (Maybe these girls were just looking for sex idk), but they picked the wrong guy for that.
